Pomino Bianco is a refined Tuscan white from the historic Pomino estate, blending Chardonnay and Pinot Bianco to reflect the elegance of the high-altitude vineyards. Crafted with a gentle pressing and fermentation in both steel and French oak, it maintains balance and complexity. The wine shows a shimmering straw yellow color, with aromas of citrus, pear, and green apple, complemented by floral notes of wisteria, chamomile, and hints of tropical fruit like pineapple. Crisp, mineral, and superbly balanced, it is a true expression of Tuscan terroir.

Vineyard

This wine grows from the high elevation vineyards of Pomino, some reaching as high as 700 meters above sea level.

Tasting Note

Fresh aromas of green apple, pear and delicate citrus notes leap out of the glass, all tinged with an interesting florality reminiscent of hawthorn and wisteria. It has a delightful harmony between its lively freshness and honeyed texture.

Benefizio Riserva

Pomino

Castello Pomino Benefizio Riserva is a cru Chardonnay from a high-elevation vineyard with diurnal shifts and sandy soils. The grapes are hand-harvested, pressed and fermented in barriques, with partial malolactic fermentation and aging on lees. Cru Benefizio first came into being in 1973 as the first white wine in Italy to be fermented and aged in barriques. The wine showcases a straw-yellow color with golden highlights, complex aromas of pear, exotic fruits and citrus with a sapid, mineral character. It finishes with a long, persistent aftertaste of dried fruit.
